 * Is there a way to operate the wordpress site without involving going into the
code. In other words I can never find the code. Even when using a plug-in, I
can never find the place to actually work on it. For example: A tag cloud… I
put it in the side bar and open it and all I can do is add a title. Where’s the
rest? Sorry this is frustrating. I just want to be able to put these things in
place and not have to look all over to figure out how to work on them.
    Thanks
to anyone that can help me understand this stuff.

 * It really depends upon the plugins(s) you are using and what you want to to do.
Some plugins will work “out of the box” without you having to amend any code.
Others require some template file editing.

 * Thanks for your help I do appreciate it. So you’re saying if you don’t know code
and how to navigate where to place it, your out of luck? Any suggestions? I never
seen a mess so difficult to understand as wordpress.

 * That’s about the size of it, I’m afraid. If you want to be able to customise
your site with the greatest amount of flexibility, then you need to learn a little
   PHP, CSS & HTML.

 * As content systems go, WordPress is easier to use than most, especially given
how much power it has. However, to do anything really fancy, you’ll need to learn
a little code, as well as how WordPress organizes it’s files. It’s not that difficult,
though it’s probably different from whatever you’re used to, especially if you
are used to editing primarily in HTML, as WordPress is predominately built in
   PHP.
