Support » Fixing WordPress » Building a Ticket System

  • Greetings,

For a client I am researching about how to build a ticket system into a Wordress theme. I came across with WordPress Advanced Ticket System plugin so far. Has anyone used it? How is your overall experience?

I was wondering whether to use such a plugin or is there any other way to make a page and system like this without any plugins? Like integrating text and fill out forms into the page?

Can you give me any ideas/solution/links about this issue?

    Thank you for your time.

NOTE: Please also check out my other questions this and that which are not answered yet. And I am still in need answers. Thanks! Thanks a lot!

  • I am WATS plugin author. WATS is the most advanced ticketing system for WP. Development started more than 2 years ago now so it has a lot of features. It is used by hundreds of sites on a daily basis.

Go through the past topics and you’ll see user feedback about it. Overall, I guess it is good feedback.

You can think about writing your own plugin but since I am WATS plugin author, I can tell you that it will take you around 400-500 hours of coding to reach the level of features you have into WATS. Not sure if it is worth trying…

    Hi Firebird!

Thanks for the answer. I have already exchanged Emails between myself and WATS to get answers for my questions about the plugin. And if I may say, the support was very friendly and kind. And overall the plugin seems nearly perfect.

I just wanted to hear other thoughts/ideas etc… I like brainstorming before deciding on something. (Sighs) I will decide about the project’s direction in the upcoming days.

Hearing again from WATS was very nice and it shows the dedication to your work, so keep up the good work! And again, thanks a lot for the reply!!!
