Building a community site

Hi

I want to build a community site, however I don’t want to use mu because it is overkill for my needs.

I have ten users who will be submitting a page about themselves and photos. I need to block them from having access to anything other than their photos and the page about them. Blocking access only to the page is easy but is there a plugin that will allow blocking access to only photos they upload. i.e. If I was using this photo gallery plugin, could I ensure only users could see their photos please?

I want also to ensure the backend gives them access to upload photos and change the page about themselves – mainly because they don’t have a huge computer experience.
