I’ve been sorting through various issues to get Duplicator to work on a site that’s been around a bit — I confirmed that everything is set up properly by excluding a number of directories and creating a small build. Installer and archive files download from this without issue.

The problem is that this full site has a couple gigabytes of uploads, and whenever I try to create a build with the full set of files, the build _says_ it completes, but the Name and Process Time fields are blank. Clicking either of the download buttons then brings you to the packages list, where it says the package has errored, but the only option is to view the log, which doesn’t explicitly indicate errors either.

I eventually decided to compare the errored log to the log for the smaller package, and discovered that the problematic package log does not contain the COMPRESSION RESULT line or anything after it.

I am assuming this is something like a timeout issue, but the mixed messages from the plugin suggests possibility of a bug.

Hosting is from Dreamhost (shared hosting), if that has any impact to the troubleshooting process. Happy to provide more info.

Well, good news! I followed the guide for timeout errors on your website and discovered that if I checked the box for Archive Flush, the process completed successfully.

    Thanks for update Nickr!
