    The idea behind this plugin is amazing!

    I’m currently running WordPress 3.8.1 MultiSite with BuddyPress 1.9.1 installed.

    I ran into a couple issues when trying to get the plugin to function properly.

    1. Map would not show up anywhere on users profile.
    2. Only 1 of the 3 widgets functioned properly
    – “GMW BP Members Location” – Map missing – replaced by white bar
    – “GMW Current location” – Error message located in side bar:

    Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed in /home/(cpanel-login-name-removed)/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geo-my-wp/includes/widgets.php on line 28
    Hello, carl!
    Get your current location

    – GMW Search From – Worked Correctly

    From Admin Panel:
    3. No map would show up in post. Here were my settings – Post Types add-on Checked -> Settings, Post Types “Posts” Checked -> No map shows up in post (address with confirmed longitude and latitude were entered)
    4. In settings “Friend Locator (BuddyPress)” – No options are showing up?

    *I tried activating the plugin network wide and on the primary site alone to test these issues.

    Sorry for the long post. I really want to see this plugin work great!

    Do you have any plans, or would you consider adding a small user avatar image in place of the drop pin to indicate BuddyPress user?

    Also, can a user map be imbedded anywhere on the site?

    Thanks again for your time on this plugin and let me know if there is anything I can do to help!

    Hi,
    Thank you for your report. And no worries about how long it is, the more details the better.

    1) The map issues you are experiencing usually the results of javascript error. Can you post a link to the members page when you have the “members location” widget?

    2) The single member map is not being displayed by default anywhere on the page. There is a shortcode that you can use for that:
    [gmw_member_location]
    some of the attributes are:
    map_width=”100%”
    map_height=”250px”
    map_type=”ROADMAP||SATELLITE||TERRAIN||HYBRID”
    zoom_level=”value between 1 to 18″

    you can use one of the hooks that the single member page provide in order to implement the shortcode in the page or manually add it.

    3) “In settings “Friend Locator (BuddyPress)” – No options are showing up?” – There are no options for Buddypress member. The box was removed in the coming update.

    4)To have avatars as map marker you can do using the “Premium Settings” add-on. However, when i am done with the new update of the plugin i might be able to help you with that. using some custom code.

    5)I have a beta of the coming update ready. This is a major update and the plugin has been drastically improved. Brand new code, hugh performance improvement, many bug fix, brand new shiny back end more. If you’d like to test it please email me your email address to info@geomywp.com and i will send it to you.

    Thank you
    Eyal

    Thanks for getting back to me so quickly and sorry for my delay! WordPress.org hasn’t been sending me the usual post notification email.

    After working with the plugin a little longer, I found most of my issues to be the result of working too many hours.

    The “GMW BP Member Location” turned out to be a simple mistake of inputing the height dimensions as a percentage which didn’t get along with the elasticity of the widget area.

    The “GMW Current Location” I’m still not sure about. I was able to get it working but not until making several changes to the site, so I’m not 100% sure which change caused it. Doing a reinstall along with refreshing WordPress’s permalink’s are possibilities.

    I’ll start messing with the short code for the profile map also, so thanks for sending it over!

    4. Getting the avatars to replace the drop pins would be incredible, so any help would be hugely appreciated! Also, I fully plan on supporting your efforts on this plugin so while adding code would be ideal, I know add-on’s are one way to support you, so just let me know.

    5. I’ll send you an email right now. Excited for it!
