    1. The plugin generates empty sitemaps with whatever suffix you put after “sitemap” in the URL. Those should be 404s because those pages DO NOT EXIST. This happens both on xml and html sitemaps.

      Examples:

      http://www.arnebrachhold.de/sitemap-put-anything-here.xml
      http://www.arnebrachhold.de/sitemap-put-anything-here.html

This way your site will be filled with countless of empty XML and HTML pages and if by any chance crawled by Google that means bad SEO (a site with many shallow pages) and possible penalization. Especially if you have HTML sitemap feature turned on.

    2. Even if HTML sitemap option is turned off the plugin will still generate HTML sitemap pages (not 404s) if requested but with garbled text/code… as if deflate/gzip brakes those pages.

Conclusion: The plugin produces pages which are not really there (XML and HTML). Garbled or not.

    3. Also, after the update, I couldn’t change the priority for categories until I realized that you have to change the priority for tags if you want to change the priority for categories.

Conclusion: The priority feature for categories is not working.
