 * Dear All,
I am QA Engineer and working in web development company. Company mostly
developed website by wordpress as content management system. I want to share
some bugs in new release of wordpress 3.1.4. There are Search, Archives and Meta
links widgets appears in sidebar even we remove them from admin Screen Layout
option under Screen options in post page is not working correctly. First set
one Colum option and now try to change two columns option. Second option not
   applied and working.

 * That sounds like a theme issue. If you don’t have any widgets in your sidebar,
often themes will revert to a default. To resolve this, put in blank text widgets.

 * I cannot reproduce this. Try flushing your browser cache.

 * I am seeing the exact same thing, across 3 separate themes, including Twenty
Ten… and woefully, this is launch day for my new WP7 app 🙁

 * bc3tech – Which one? The ‘appears in sidebar even we remove them from admin’
   or the screen layout?
 * I can change my screen layout from 2 to 1 and back again no problem. Yes, I have
to re-apply which widgets I want in which column, but that’s a weird UX thing
   and not a bug.

There are Search, Archives and Meta links widgets appears
in sidebar even we remove them from admin but when i put “text” widget into “
Primary Widget Area” using admin panel said widgets removes from sidebar. is
it functionality of WordPress in 3.1.4 :). This is not logical! i am waiting
   your prompt guidance and support.

 * as Ipstenu said, this is a theme issue. Some themes include default widgets if
you don’t have any. modify the theme (probably sidebar.php), or write your own.
