# Bugs in Backorder?

 * Hi,
 * Q. how to set backorder properly?
 * Info: I have it activated and tried both “allow” & “allow and notify customer”.
   However, it only results in either
    1) only one order can be made and the stock
   level remains at zero, and I tried deleting from the shopping cart which it wont
   disappear. This seems to be glitched. 2) it simply says “this item cannot be 
   purchase”
 * Your advice is appreciated. Cheers

 * Have you selected the `Manage Stock` checkbox? You need it to display that Backorders
   are allowed on the product, more info can be found in [this documentation](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-products/)(
   Section13)

 * Thanks for your reply. I have ticked the manage stock checkbox and I have basically
   tried all the possible combination available and it wont work.
 * Do you have an email that I can send you my site? It is still being developed
   at the moment.
