• I installed Kitchenbug about a month ago. It seemed fine, the nutrition analysis goes on top of the recipe which makes the recipe look like an afterthought. But, I could deal with that. However, I didn’t notice at first that the tags on all my new posts were disappearing. I would enter the tags and when I saved, updated, or published, the tags would be wiped clean. Then, one day, my photos started disappearing. First, it was just one post that all the photos disappeared. After that, it was a second post. And, the photos were actually deleted from the media library. I tried everything I could think of, even uploading the photos multiple times, and reinstalling WordPress, updating my browser, etc. After much hard work, I figured out the problems started at the same time I installed Kitchenbug. When I emailed the company, they said they were aware of the problem. What?!? you mean you knew about this problem and never bothered to notify anyone that this may be a potential issue they may encounter! This is not the kind of company I can trust if they keep major issues hidden from people. I do not recommend this plugin because of the major bugs in it, as well as the poor service in keeping their bugs hidden. 🙁

    Dear User,

Thank you for the review. We are sorry for the problems that were caused and are working hard to make the plugin as good as humanly possible.

The scenario in which the photos disappear is as follows:
    1) The Kitchenbug plugin version 0.5.3 is installed
    2) The user changes his theme
    3) The photos uploaded from the current month are actually backed up and not deleted.

The bug was that the photos were backed up to a wrong directory causing them to lose the WP link. We were notified about the problem on December 10th and are releasing the fix on December 14th in version 0.5.4. The problem with the tags was brought to our attention by you and fixed as well for the 0.5.4 release.

    The Kitchenbug Team
