The core plugin only works for a single location as advertised.
If you wish to use the plugin for multiple locations, you will need 1 of the addons.

Ah! Addon – for multiple – sure. But, Paolo – I’m not convinced mate to be honest bro – that fact (addon for multiple) needs to be specified – stated “for multiple locations, use this addon” – but, the notices outlined here don’t inspire confidence. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/changing-default-location-undefined-variable-default_location-in?replies=1
Again, making a common and essential feature of a directory a paid for addon reinforces my belief that this plugin is a hook – perhaps you might find more imaginative ways to make money, which is of course – all good and fair. But, before you do this, please consider said debugs.

Features
GeoDirectory allows you to create a local directory based on a single location such as a street, a neighbourhood, a city or a greater area (multi-locations addon available).

There is absolutely no hook, nor anything hidden here. We provided a brilliant plugin to create single cities directory for free.
Should you wish to create a global directory we provide an addon.
Most popular plugins do this nowadays and I don’t think this should be a factor for a 2 stars reviews.
The error you report is probably due to something wrong in your install. Nothing major though, given that is is a warning that wouldn’t prevent the application from working. It should only be logged in your errorlog and not visible. As Stiofan replied, we both tested and we can’t recreate it.
If you pass us a link and wp admin credentials as he asked you, we can probably fix it in 5 minutes.

Sure thing. I’ve had to move onto tried and tested (but not necessarily better) solutions – but seems the path of least resistance is there.
I hope to revisit the plugin soon to learn anew.
