    This plugin used to be rock solid, but it’s gotten really buggy. It won’t remember that I want to edit in text (HTML), and keeps defaulting back to the visual editor. It drops all kinds of formatting, and often blanks out the entire description when I save a location. I really don’t want to transition to a whole new solution and re-enter all my location data, but this plugin has become borderline unusable.

    Hi @peterdtown,

    Thank you for your feedback, we do appreciate it.

    We recently implemented the same KSES filtering used in WordPress posts, for all marker data. This was added to prevent security exploits in data storage, which is a priority for the safety of all users.

    Unfortunately, this does mean that some tags will be removed automatically to ensure the data stored is safe to serve on both the frontend of sites and within the admin area of the plugin.

    With regards to the issues with the editor, we do plan on replacing the original TinyMCE editor with a more robust solution in the future. Unfortunately, at this time this is a limitation of the new sanitization which has been implemented.

    We’d like to discuss this with you further. We may be able to assist you with a temporary solution to the issue.
