To all folks with recent ‘Object of class Directory…’ errors with CG-FlashyTitles (v1.4.1 or earlier)… A quickly-fixed version is up, that should resolve the issue (it’s the new code from my FlashyTitles 3 alpha… 😉 ).

The new v1.4.2 is downloadable at the usual place:

People who have been waiting on CG-FlashyTitles 3 (sIFR3) can contact me offline about alpha-testing.

(or people CAN always leave a note here, though I’m more likely to only visit here on weekends.. 😉 ).

The v3 release, for people looking for ‘flashy titles’ (hence the name!), uses Flash 8/sIFR 3 technologies to apply ‘filters’ to generated headlines, such as drop shadow, glow, blur, knockout, and bevel. It’ll take a little while before the ‘font libraries’ catch up and convert over to the sIFR 3 format.

Sorry to all, just uploaded 1.4.3. Apparently my codefix grabbed from CG-FlashyTitles 3 also included a change in path structure, which causes FT1 to not find the font files! Ooops. Grab this new version, and all should be well. 😉
