    Plugin will mess with your cron and cause problem on your site!! The option ‘Run now’ sets the next execution date to 1970, rendering that cron task useles. The option ‘Run now’ also duplicates cron task under some circumstances. DO NOT USE!

    This is intentional. It’s how the plugin works.

    It doesn’t set the next execution date to 1970, it schedules an additional cron event for 1970 so it runs immediately. The message that appears after you run an event explains this.
