Bug with taxonomy archive and custom theme

    Viewing a taxonomy archive (tags, categories, etc.) is broken when the first result is an event content type. Two problems are visible: 1. The page title says “Upcoming Events” instead of the name of the taxonomy. 2. The selected widgets are not visible. If I disable the Events Calendar plugin or if the first result is not an event content type, the taxonomy archive works as expected. I am using the Avada theme. This problem does not occur with the default WordPress theme so there must be a conflict between the plugin and the theme.

    Hey @atlaspolicy!

    Thanks for reaching out to us! I see that you already tested the issue with another WordPress theme, kudos to you for being thorough!

    Since we know that the plugin is working as expected when running a different theme, there’s unfortunately not much that can be done on our end.

    I would suggest reaching out to Avada’s support or if you feel like you might want to tackle it yourself, our Themer’s Guide is a great place to start!

    Hi Ed, thanks for replying. Indeed, the problem was with Avada and I worked with them to fix it. It should be contained in their next release.
