Updated two sites to 3.6.1 without thinking about it. Went to look at out of stock items tonight and noticed it doe snot show them. Instead, it shows all items except out of stock. I then rolled back to 3.5.8 and it works again.

This is happening it the administration section when you try to filter on out of stock items.

The items all have 10 o more items, not show up in the out of stock list. the items with 0 do not show up at all. Happened on two different sites. Rolled them both back, and I can see the out of stock again.

Hi there! If you can consistently reproduce this issue, we invite you to report it directly to the developers: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce. This way it can be picked up and resolved in the next version of the plugin.

    Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have similar problem in my shop concerning variable products – I have just reverted back to the version 3.5.8

I am also seeing the same issue. I cant filter items by “out of stock” or “back ordered” Another thing I’ve noticed is that some of the products that arn’t out of stock are being shown on the site as out of stock, and what we are finding is that the price in the variations section is missing.

We have the same issue… really frustrating

After the update and after any modification a variable product, it becomes out of stock… even if stock quantity is large enough.

Same here! A client of mine is experiencing this problem since a few weeks.. I have tried debugging this issue but nothing came up.. This is an update issue. Is there any news about a fix?

    Thnx!

Our client is experiencing the same issue. Even if they have 100 qty of a product sometimes it’s marked as “Out of stock”.

It occurs randomly when someone buys in their shop. So when someone buys, a random product of their shop is marked as “Out of stock”.

I’m seeing exactly the same thing. I’ve disabled all other plugins and switched to default theme – no joy. Reverting to earlier woocommerce doesn’t fix it, indicating the problem is in the database. Only rolling back to a previous backup (with woo 3.5.8 IIRC) fixes it, but that means a bunch of transactions are lost.

After going through this once already, I thought it had been fixed in 3.6.2 after seeing this in the changelog
    * Fix – When product lookup table is generating for the first time, avoid wrong stock statuses being set for variable products. #23455

But nope – looking at another rollback now, and no word from the developers. Thing is – I run a bunch of other Woo sites for clients, with variable products and they’re not affected as far as I know. Can’t figure it out.

    Same here.
After upgrade to 3.6.x, and after the first edit, the OUT OF STOCK message appeared on the archive page.
Spent half a day on the issue, last chance was a rollback to Feb backup, 3.5.4 version who runs great.
!! after the rollback, he product must be re-save in order to cancel the unwanted message !!
Now the whole website runs very well, but no reply from WC developer.

    @ helectric44
Hello, Please help. Have you found a fix for this problem? After first EDIT it then becomes out of stock.

    Thank you, Ferly

@walkinverse Did you find a resolution to your issue? It is possible the product lookup tables need to be regenerated. There is a tool for this under WooCommerce > Status > Tools.

All others, please create your own threads if you have not yet found a solution.

    Hello @jessepearson and @walkinverse

This out of stock mess happened to me after the update but I found out that it was stemming from square credit card processing. Square had taken control over the inventory after update, causing the out of stock.

    Hi @ferlysevilla,

This was something that is known to Square and one of the reasons we pulled the 2.0+ versions. If you are still having that issue, please set ver. 1.0.38 for Square. To do so:

    – Disconnect Square
    – Go to Plugins > All Plugins, disable, delete Square
    – Fetch ver. 1.0.38 from the repo
    – Install and activate the fetched version
    – Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Integration > Square and connect once more. Be sure the Business Location shows.
    – Re-sync WC > Square or vice versa

This should re-fix that issue, and we do have it addressed in the new ver. 2.0.2 that is still in testing.

    Hi @ferlysevilla,

I am going to close this thread for now, however if you are still having the issue just reply to this and we will re-open it.

If you have other issues please open a new thread and let us know!
