Well… I think I found another little bug but have no idea if problem belong to this plugin or to the Disable Emojis plugin (https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/disable-emojis/).

I have a comment with “;-)” in the middle of a 4 lines paragraph and while FF and Chrome behave correctly, the text is trunked under IE11. If I replace with “:-)” instead, then full paragraph is displayed, then when I put back “;-)” again, text is missing.

I run the Disable Emojis plugin only because the editor was so slow with all the extra code added to it and this plugin simply removes the extra code bloat used to add support for emoji’s in older browswers.

Let me know if I should instead post this in the support forum of the Disable Emojis plugin.

Oh well it looks like this post finally made it. I tried to post it a few times and was getting an error so i thought there was something wrong in my post like a special sequence of characters preventing the forum to accept my post.

Hmm, it is being saved in the database correctly.
It looks like there is just no fonta available that supports it. So I would guess FF and Chrome include a Symbola font or similar, while IE 11 has an old font that doesn’t support that character.
    /edit
BTW: Edge does support the character with its fonts.

Do you think this problem should be submitted to Disable Emojis plugin author?

I will probably disable that plugin once I will go online, I used it only because the editor was very slow.

I think it is just an issue with the font on that version of Windows.
Maybe upgrading the symbola font will help. I don’t know which font is installed by default for those characters.
