Support » Plugin: Events Manager » [BUG] When updating an event, user sees 'Event added'

  • Resolved Daedalon

    Whether adding an event or updating one, the user sees the same Success Message (Settings > General > Event Submission Forms). The message “You have successfully added a new event” is a wrong one when the user was updating an existing event.

    1. A separate field for “Update Success Message” should be added.

    2. There should also be the same setting for Locations – at least the Update Success Message, as there’s no Add a Location form yet. Currently when updating or creating an event, the user can be given a link to see the event page, but when updating a location, no such link is possible until this setting is added.

  • I noticed this too, I’ve let Marcus know about it.

    The item #1 was added in EM 5.3.1. Thanks!

    Could the item #2 be added? It could be broken down into:

    2.1. Rename Settings > General > Event Submission Forms to eg. Event and Location Submission Forms

    2.2. Add a field for the success message for updating a location.

    2.3. Especially if Support [location_form] for adding a location is implemented, also add a field for the success message for adding a location. Even if this is not implemented, the success message could already be implemented and shown when adding an event and a new location at the same time with the same form so that the user would see for example:

    Event added. Thanks!

    View the event.

    Location added. Thanks!

    View the location.

    will add that asap, in meantime [location_form] try this somewhere see if it works

    function my_em_get_location_form_shortcode( $args = array() ){
    	return em_get_location_form( $args );
    add_shortcode ( 'location_form', 'my_em_get_location_form_shortcode');
