I was trying to update a product category description, but the update button is not clickable because of text standing in front of it.

    The text is as follows:

If you like WooCommerce please leave us a ★★★★★ rating. A huge thanks in advance!

So to update, I need to tab my way to the update button and then press enter.

I have reached to WooCommerce, they told me to disable your plugin because they suspected Yoast pushing down the Update button. I have disabled it, and I could see the Update button again.

Here is a capture of the issue.

I investigated another user with the same overlapping behavior and determined it was due to plugin conflict. In that user’s case it was the WooCommerce Admin and Smush plugins. When these two plugins are the only ones active, they cause the save button to be covered by text which prevents the button from being clicked.

Are you using these two plugins? If so, we recommend reporting the issue to the author or support team for the plugins.

If you are not using these two plugins, please rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

    I think you’re right.

I have disabled all plugins but Yoast, WooCommerce Admin, WooCommerce, and Smush, and installed Twenty Nineteen.

    1) If I disable Yoast, the issue is fixed.
    2) If, when Yoast is activated, both WooCommerce Admin and Smush are activated, the text overlaps the update button.
    3) If I disable either WooCommerce Admin or Smush, the overlapping doesn’t occur anymore.

In conclusion, both WooCommerce Admin or Smush cannot be activated at the same time if Yoast is also activated, otherwise the issue occurs. However, the issue disappears if Yoast is deactivated. In that case, you can activate both WooCommerce Admin and Smush at the same time.

Hope I have answered your question.
