Support » Fixing WordPress » Bug: Static pages do not appear in the Manage Pages

  • I think this might be related to another problem I have which was not resolved (see topic), but I have added 2 static pages in my wordpress blog, and none show up in my administration under Manage -> Pages. I can of course view them on the blog itself and click “Edit this page” but from the actual page where I should see them, I get told there are no static pages. What gives?

  • If you look at the your database (say via phpmyadmin):

In the wp-post table there’s field called post_status and for a Page, the value of that field should be “static”.

Please let us know if you get this solved.

Yup, they are definately static in the database, that is one of the things I checked at first. They show up as static on wordpress itself (under “Pages” in the sidebar), and when I modify them from the link in the page itself, the admin page sais it’s a static page I’m editing. The only thing that doesn’t work is the page list in Manage Pages.

Any chance the Pages author has a greater User Level than you?

I’m having the same problem. Pages can be seen from the front end. They’re listed in the sidebar as pages. However there’s nothing at all in the backend under “Manage Pages”

Oops. I created the pages as superadmin (level 10)

Didn’t know that made them invisible to everyone else…
