• I tried this on different installations with the current version of Loco Translate (2.5.3).
Every Domains has another theme activated and I used Loco Translate before on every single installation.

When going to Loco Translate => Themes => Themename => Edit Template File (.POT) and using the sync button, the loading icon rotates about 30 Seconds and I get a critical error.
I deactivated every single plugin but the sync error still appears.

Syncing PO-Files works great, it´s just a template sync bug.

What is the critical error? Please post details.

Do you have enough memory? See FAQ https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/faqs/memory-limit

It’s not recommended to extract your own templates unless you are the author. See FAQ https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/faqs/template-missing

I don’t extract something. I just open the template file and click on sync. Template file is already there and I did exactly the same for years now.

I will try to increase memory later or tomorrow and let you know.

    There are not much details.
    It says:
Error: a critical error appears on your website. Read more about solving errors in your debug console

The problems is that this error appears on every domain on different hosts with different themes installed (around 20 websites)

Syncing the template is extracting strings. This is what it does and if you didn’t create the template you should avoid syncing it unless you have good reason and know what you’re doing.

If you want me to comment on the error you’re experiencing you will have to dig into your logs to find some details.
