• I just upgraded to 2.9.2 and tried to add a post.

Inside my a tags, I’ve changed href=”…” to point to where I *want* it to point. Unfortunately, every time I post, WordPress is replacing my links with: href=”http://mysite.com/?attachment_id=1404″

I get pointing to an attachment ID rather than a real image… But I have three major complaints to this:

    1) If I change the field, I want it to stay changed.

    2) If I link to an image, I want to display the image… NOT my theme containing an image, which makes it MUCH smaller than full screen. Integrated image viewing is great, but it’s removing the point of linking to a high-res image from a thumbnail… This way is just going to show a somewhat larger thumbnail.

    3) The image display code it now links to is buggy. It no longer displays full-screen in my browser (because it used to actually load the image itself, which really is what I want out of a link to an image), but instead attempts to display it within the bounds of my theme, which is still sized to the width and height of my entire blog post, making for a very unviewable image… It’s stretched horribly in the vertical.

Check out http://graff.mine.nu:8050/Expatiate/?attachment_id=1404 to see what it’s doing. (Seen with Firefox 3.6.3 and IE 8.0 on Windows XP)

Is there any way I can make 2.9.2 stop doing this? Or is my only way out at the moment to back down to 2.8? This makes posting images pretty useless for me since nobody can view a good image of the originals.
