I have the GeneratePress theme installed and I noticed that when I insert a pattern in the block editor, it displays as full-width (works fine in the front end). The issue is present with the GeneratePress theme and the Kadence blocks installed. With a default theme it displays fine. With the GP theme active and Kadence blocks deactivated, it also works.

I have let the GP team know about it, I am also informing you, not sure how this can be resolved.

    Hi @quantum_leap,

    Thanks for writing in.

Does the issue happen when you insert a pattern (formerly known as Reusable block) to the editor?

What block are you using? Can you also tell us the versions of the GP theme and Kadence Blocks plugin you’re using?

    Thanks,
    Chito

    Yes.

I am using the latest versions of both theme (3.4.0) and plugin (3.2.25). In the pattern, I am using the core columns block. Why don’t you try it yourself?

    Hello @quantum_leap,

I installed the GeneratePress theme and tried to recreate the problem. I found that the problem is with GeneratePress and Synced Patterns. The problem happens even when no Kadence Blocks are used.

To test, create a design using only standard Gutenberg blocks, turn it into a synced pattern, and then add the synced pattern to a page. It will appear full width in the editor, as you mentioned.

You are right, I have raised an issue with them, thanks!

    Hello @quantum_leap

I’ve obtained new information. The problem is actually due to CSS included from Kadence blocks that affect Gutenberg patterns.

I mentioned a test to use a synced pattern without any Kadence Blocks that would recreate the problem. However, the problem goes away when you uninstall Kadence Blocks. Kadence Blocks introduces CSS to the editor that affects Gutenberg Patterns to cause the issue.

I’ve reported this to the developers for review. We’ll let you know when we have more information.

    Hello @quantum_leap,

This issue was addressed in Kadence blocks v3.2.28 released last week. Please update the plugin and let us know if you have additional concerns.

    Thank you.
