    There is an issue with WooCommerce SEO setting. If we choose to remove “category base”, but we keep the main base as is, Rank Math also removes it.
    For example. If we remove prefix from category URL.
    Default: /shop/product-category/accessories/action-figures/
    Changed: /accessories/action-figures/
    Since we choose to keep the main base, the correct path would be: /shop/accessories/action-figures/

    Thank you for your message.

    No, it’s not a bug.

    The Remove Category Base option will not remove the product-category base from the Product’s base. It will remove it only from the product category page.

    You can manage the Product permalinks from the Permalinks settings. By default, the Product base is set to shop. You must have changed it to shop/product-category.

    Example:
    Product Category URL: http://example.com/product-category/category-name
    After enabling the Remove category base option this URL will change to: http://example.com/category-name

    Hope that clears the confusion.

    At your example you are entirely skipping the main “base” which is “shop” for example.

    Please have a look at the screenshot and the URL structure I wrote above. This is a bug.

    Looks like you want to use shop base for Product categories. For this you won’t need the Remove Category base option. You can just change the Product category base to Shop in the permalink Settings.

    The Remove Category Base option will remove the base which is set in the Permalink Settings. So if it’s set to shop/product-category then this option will remove the entire base.

    Ok, let me ask you otherwise…

    How can I remove “product-category” but keep “shop”

    Default: /shop/product-category/accessories/action-figures/
    Result should be: /shop/accessories/action-figures/

    As shown in the Screencast we shared,you can just add shop in the Product Category base in the Permalink settings and disable the Remove Category Base option from the Rank Math Settings.
