    Hello,

    (1) I created a newsletter from scratch.

    (2) I set a non-white color as a background (solid light gray, no gradient) to all my widgets (text, images etc…).

    (3) When I send the email as a test, on the mobile everything is tiny and I see a black border (left and right) on my device (Mobile theme = dark)

    (4) Then I rotate the phone on landscape, and the email element size seem ok for a mobile.

    (5) Then I rotate again in vertical. Now the text size is perfect for a mobile, but some widget background color are 100% black and not light gray.

    (6) I did the same using one of your preset and I had the same problem.

I think something is wrong. I remember some months ago, I did the same tests and they were fine.

Is it a bug or what?

    Thank you

Hi, about the effects on phone rotation I really don’t know, the email is not coded to behave in a different way when the device is rotated.
Could be the mobile theme dark if affecting the email: we added a bit of code to manage the dark mode, maybe it is not working correctly.

Which email client are you using? Apple? Android?

    Stefano.

    Ciao Stefano,
I’m using Samsung Note 9 with defautl browser (Chrome).
Today I run the first session of newsletter (in ITA language) (not a test, but in real).
    Look this screenshots:

ON PC: colors are correct (light gray), as in THE NEWSLETTER COMPOSER:

ON ANDROID IN LANDSCAPE: color are inverted, since it’s in dark mode. No problems.

ON ANDROID IN PORTRAIT: color are inverted, since it’s in dark mode. Some parts are black, instead to be dark gray as in landscape.

I have the same problem with Android in bright mode (in the browser, I select “Visualizza con tema tenue).

Now I should send the ENG version of the newsletter, but I would like to know how to fix this problem.

    What do you think?

Hi, probably is a dark mode problem maybe only in your device or maybe in every device. We will test the dark mode, but the newsletter is not coded in a way to have strange effects on dark mode, probably the phone is trying to applying the dark mode to the newsletter content in the wrong way (by the way I switched back from dark mode since I found a lot of problems not only with gmail but even with many apps).

    Stefano.
