This probably it’s an existing conflict.
Please, if you have some time, we´d like to take a closer look. We may need to deactivate plugins and switch the theme while troubleshooting temporarily. Would you feel OK with that? Workaround: in the meantime, you can copy and paste the shortcut into the correct area.

I am sure that this will not help and such a bug observed on many site. As for the topic, it definitely has nothing to do with this issue.

I am afraid that NextGen isn’t compatible with ACF to allow inserting the gallery module/shortcode in one of its fields ( even in case that the “Add Gallery” button is present due to the common usage of TinyMCE )
You may be interested in generating gallery modules/shortcodes using the default WP’s editor then copying over the textual shortcodes to any ACF fields that would allow shortcodes.
