  • Hi, we couldn’t reproduce this error, check this video: https://mailpoet.viewscreencasts.com/87024d107dee8d19bdf89bc50ba0aabf

Let us know if there’s another way to reproduce this error.

I think I have the same error. As soon as I click outside the editor the bold style disappear.

And this is with 2.6.12 and WP 3.8.1.
Just upgraded and did not experience this before.

The same thing happens for me, too.
    Version 2.6.12 and WP 4.0.
The video wasn’t helpful at all.
It’s easy to select text and make it bold, but by the time I can scroll down far enough to save changes, the text is no longer bold. It’s usually a rather long newsletter, so scrolling down moves the text out of the window. I haven’t tried it with italic yet.
At the moment, I’m looking at the possibility of changing it via HTML (settings), but in a long newsletter that could be a bit of a chore.
Thanks in advance for any insight(s).

    I got the same issue.

    Version 2.6.12 with WP 4.0.

As soon as I left the focus of the text editor box the bold text is getting plain.

Guys, can you all try to enable HTML edits on your Settings page > Advanced tab and make sure it works?!

We’re investigating this issue right now, we appreciate any further feedbacks.

    Hi guys,

I had the same problem with your latest plugin version and WordPress 4.0, but your tip “enable HTML edits on your Settings page > Advanced” worked for me !

    Thank you 🙂

Ok, we just fixed the issue, you just need to deactivate and delete MailPoet and install it again (on the Plugins page), we patched the same version 2.6.12, since there’s a lot of users who haven’t updated yet.

Don’t worry about your data, everything is stored on the database.

Why don’t you release a 2.6.13 version with this fix?

    Thanks for looking into this.
Yes, the problem appears to be remedied, BUT there is another hitch that I can’t figure out….
As long as the first paragraph or so of the newsletter is visible, the little toolbar is visible. But if I try to add more content, two things happen:
    1. I get to the bottom of the text window and pressing Enter/Return does not move the cursor – I must manually scroll the text up, making the toolbar disappear.
    2. OR – If I have pasted content, I’m back to pretty much the same thing – the toolbar is not accessible and trying to scroll up to it de-selects the text I’m trying to work with.

With HTML edits enabled, I can do it that way with tags.

Maybe making that toolbar float in the same way that the content/images/styles/themes box floats?

Again, thanks for all your help.

    hello,
Since morning the plugin 2.6.13 on WP 4.0 does not send automatic newsletter

=> The editor is frozen, I can not see the content and no links work
    The console returns this error:

Error: "throw $ continue" is deprecated, use "return" instead
... ar $ continue = new Error ('"throw $ continue" is deprecated, use "return" instead ..

    Dear Mail Poet Staff:
I’ve given up on this issue and went with a different plugin that does NOT present problems with the editor interface. SOLA Newsletters is a snap by comparison.

    @rerartist
I think we should compare what is comparable.
Sola is nice but I do not say it can replaces wysija (…)

    Closing…
