Support » Plugin: Paid Memberships Pro » Bug exporting members list to a CSV file?

  • I’m trying to export my members list to a CSV file, but the excel is full of error messages like this:

Warning: fprintf() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /usr/home/domain.com/web/subdomain/wp-content/plugins/paid-memberships-pro/adminpages/memberslist-csv.php on line 434

What’s the problem? Is there any bug?

    Thanks!

    Sergio

  • Hi! Any suggestions? It’s still not working, and this is a basic feature for a membership plugin.

One thing to look into is to make sure your server/host/etc has a temp folder setup that is writable and not full of space.

Here is where PMPro creates the temp file for use while exporting:
    https://github.com/strangerstudios/paid-memberships-pro/blob/dev/adminpages/memberslist-csv.php#L211

It seems like it is returning false for some reason on your setup.

Thanks, Jason. It seems that the problem comes from the path where the plugin is looking for the tmp folder.

The first warning message I’m getting from the CSV file is this one:

Warning: tempnam(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/tmp) is not within the allowed path(s): (/usr/home/xxxxxxx.com/:/home/xxxxxxxx.com/:/usr/home/services/:/usr/share/php55/) in /usr/home/xxxxxxx.com/web/xxxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/paid-memberships-pro/adminpages/memberslist-csv.php on line 208

I’m being told from my hosting provider that the temp folder can’t be moved, and it’s actually in usr/home/xxxxx.com/ (not full and writable)

What can I do to export my members in CSV? I can’t do it manually, as there are more than a thousand.
