Hi mlgirard,
I’m not sure I quite understand what the problem is that you are experiencing. Can you provide an example of something you’re doing and what you expect Document Gallery to do?
Thanks,
Dan
Ok, on this url : http://rpas-conference.com/documents/
I updated the document which is named “UVS International – Board of Directors in the section “UVS INTERNATIONAL – Reference Information”.
The old version of this document is 170326. When I try to replace it, it doesn t work. Instead of replacing the document of 170326 with the new document of 170421, it creates a new lock of document gallery at the bottom of the page. You can see it at the bottom of the page in the section “Blyenburgh and co – reference information”.
What I expect gallery to do is using the mouse in back office, suppress the old doc and posting a new one when clicking on update. But it doesn t work anymore.
It was working just so fine untill the update of WP 4.7.4
Hi,
I am facing the same problem since update to 4.7.4.
Each time I try to update a Document gallery, the gallery duplicates at the top of the page without saving my modifications.
Everything was OK before 4.7.4 update.
My site : http://alternativephilolettres.fr
Thanks for answer.

I am experiencing the same, and am happy to provide whatever details help. If I attempt to edit my document gallery, no matter what I update when I save, the new gallery displays on the page directly below the existing gallery that I was trying to modify.
It requires me to delete the original so that only one gallery is displayed. I deactivated and reinstalled the plug-in, but the duplication still happens.
Thank you.

Thanks for the additional info, evernon49.
Just to give an update to everyone —
It looks like the WordPress team decided to make a major change to the post editor in a patch release. This appears to have broken WP integration for DG.
We’re working on getting a fix in place, but I’m slammed at work so I cannot say exactly when we’ll get a fix out. In the short term, the workaround is to “modify”, then remove the original gallery.
Sorry for the inconvenience and I’ll keep everyone updated with a fix to this issue.

Just a me too post, on (probably) all the sites I’m using DG on.
The edited Document Gallery shortcode, is put at the top of the post when edited. My workaround is to manually replace the old shortcode with the edited. Not a big deal if you know what you are doing, but my colleagues will struggle with it.
Dan thank you for your support. Don’t stress. Let me know if you need a tester on your fix.

All,
I just wanted to update everyone — DG 4.3.2 should address this issue. I apologize for the delay in getting a fix out, but WordPress took us off guard making this major change in a patch release.
Thanks for your patience while we got this resolved!

Hi Dan
Thank you so much for your continued support. Its very appreciated. So far I updated and tested one site (using divi theme) with DG 4.3.2 – and editing galleries seems to be working just fine again.
Best regards
Bjarne
