Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » Bug: Date jumps to +3 days – how to fix?

  • Hello,

When I edit an event, the date always jumps to +3 days. It only happens with events that are longer than one day. Events that start and at the same day are fine.

I just updated everything to the latest versions, WordPress, Plugins, Theme. I am using Genesis framework.

I even disabled all(!) other plugins. No difference. So I don’t see a conflict with another plugin.

By the way: This guy seems to have exactly the same problem: “End date ‘jumps’ 3 days when editing” (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/end-date-jumps-3-days-when-editing/)

I appreciate your help on this.

    Daniel

  • Hey Daniel,

Are you using the block editor or classic editor?

If you enable WP_DEBUG are any errors present when adding and event?

I can’t seem to replicate this with either editor.

    Hey Ed,

I’m using the block editor. And when I set define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true); than no error is present when adding an event.

So it’s a weird issue – and I am asking myself if it has anything to do with the Genesis framework I’m using?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Hey Daniel,

It very well could. Check out this knowledgebase article ► https://support.theeventscalendar.com/052762-Genesis-theme-framework-integration

    Take care,
    Ed 🤟

    Hey Ed,

Thanks for your link. Unfortunately none of the snippets are (seem to be) related to this particular issue with changing the date to +3.

So I don’t know if you have a chance of testing the latest version of Genesis with your plugin together to see if you get the same error/behaviour? (I really have no clue how to fix this myself.)

    Thanks for your help,
    Daniel

    Any updates on this?
