    Hi,

I discovered what I think is a bug that only shows up on the firefox desktop browser (only tested on Mac). The online shop uses TaxJar to establish and keep track of tax rates for different US states. When switching from a state that doesn’t require my client to collect sales taxes (like Oregon) to one that does (like California), the checkout total area refreshes and recalculates through an ajax call. Then it forces the browser to scroll the page down to meet it (the element table.shop_table.woocommerce-checkout-review-order-table).

I diagnosed this as an issue with Square, as when I deactivated it and used Stripe instead, I wasn’t experiencing this problem. I deactivated all plugins (apart from WooCommerce, Square, and Taxjar) and switched to the TwentyTwenty theme to confirm that it wasn’t a problem with our theme or any other incompatibility.

Do you have any idea why the ajax calculation would force the screen to focus on that area? It’s a jarring experience for a customer.

    Thanks!

    Hello!

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. Can you continue with your testing then let us know the extent of things, please? Please let us know how this works on other devices and browser combinations. I cannot replicate the issue in my test site but I do see something when looking at https://chilwellness.com.

It looks like the form scrolls down so the customer can update the required Postal Code field for the Credit Card form. Both the Billing zip code and this required postal code should match. If the page is scrolling, it is likely because of this feature, either to ensure it’s double-checked or because they don’t match and the form sees that. I don’t see any reference to this as a feature of our Square plugin or the [**Enhanced Checkout Form**](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/advanced-payment-gateway-features/#section-8) that comes with WooCommerce core. Can you share more on how that zip code field is being added to the CC form, please?

    Thanks!
