    Hi there,

I’m having a problem using your great plugin. The Xprofile add-on is not showing under GEO my WP > Add-ons. The add-on “Friends Locator” does show and is activated, but I’m still not able to add any Zip-code field to the user profiles (and registration form).
    I’m using BuddyPress 1.7 and WordPress 3.5.1

I’ve also read that you’re working on another update, but I haven’t seen anybody else over here facing this same issue I have.
Hope you can help me out with this one. Thanks!

  • Just for the record.. I also can’t see (or add) any “buddypress location tab” in a members profile settings. Not on the website and neither in the admin area. :s Pls help me

    HI,
The Xprofile fields add-on is available with the premium version only. using that you can let users add their location in registration form or add/update their location in the “edit profile” page. With the free version you let users add/edit their location using the “Location” tab in user’s profile page.

There is an issue with the location tab not showing when using buddypress 1.7.
if you are using the default BP theme you can find a quick fix here.

Otherwise i am working on a fix for buddypress’s 1.7 when using other themes than the default BP theme. Should be available soon.

Hi, thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately the quick fix you referred to doesn’t work for me with the default BP theme or BP childtheme. The “Location” tab just doesn’t show in a user’s profile page. (Also not in wp-admin)
    What to do now?

I am not sure why the fix won’t work for you.
But there is not much todo but wait for the New update.
I will try to release a beta version ASAP. Just because this is a major update it takes longer to release.

Okay, thanks for your help and I’ll wait for the new update and hope it will work. Good luck on developing this next release! 🙂
