• I appreciate the Buddypress “Declaration of (Theme) Independence” meaning it no longer needs its own themes but can take the WordPress theme as its guide.

I’ve also just read this article, which points out that some work is still required of the WordPress theme developer.

I love Decode, but from the look of my corresponding Buddypress instance I’m guessing it hasn’t been developed with Buddypress in mind. In which case, how might I keep Decode for the non-Buddypress parts of a website, and employ a specific Buddypress theme for the Buddypress parts?

@psheld What does it look like? site url/screenshot? Per cursory check of the theme’s page.php and content-page.php, the theme should be compatible with BP. I bet you only need to add some CSS tweaks to “fix” alignments, list-styles, etc.

    Thanks Mercime. Here’s a screenshot.

It just doesn’t inspire me to get started with the “CSS tweaks”! 🙂
