  • Hi All,

    I have recently installed this great plugin which will really help me to make the email notification work. My group has around 70 members. After I turned the default for all the previously registered users and new users to “all emails” it took at least 3 mins for the reply to be posted and was loading. I believe this is because it was trying to send all the emails before the whole process will finish and the reply is posted. Has anyone else noticed anything like this and any way to fix so the reply is posted and the emails are processed in the background without disturbing the user? Thanks

    Hello – Can you confirm the version of BPGES you’re running? Since version 3.9, emails have been sent asynchronously in the background, for the very reason you’ve described.

    Can you also confirm that emails are, in fact, being sent out?

    Yes, the emails are being sent out but it still takes alot of time for the post to happen. I am actually using the BuddyBoss Platform Version 1.2.4 and BuddyBoss Theme Version: 1.3.1.

    Is there any patch for this for the asynchronous emails?

    Thanks for the additional info.

    I’m afraid my ability to help with BuddyBoss-related problems is limited. It’s possible, for example, that BuddyBoss uses an old version of BPGES that doesn’t include the asynchronous tools. As BuddyBoss is a non-open commercial project, I don’t even have access to the codebase in order to check one way or another.

    I’d recommend reaching out to the BuddyBoss support team to ask whether they support BPGES 3.9+.
