I am using a buddypress default theme and the menu changes automatically when I resize the browser. They menu buttons are normal and small when the browser is of the normal size but when I make the browser window small, after a certain point, the menu buttons become wide and stack up below each other. Is there anyway to stop that?
I could explain this better if I could attach snapshots. Please let me know hoe to achieve this.
That’s called a responsive design; it accounts for smaller screens on different mobile devices and resizing browsers on desktops. It’s a very common and modern feature of themes and overall web design.
Probably best to ask in the http://buddypress.org/support/ forums on how to remove the responsive CSS and html.
I want to delete my current theme and install a BP friendly theme – but I have to install BP-default first and I keep getting a css error message. Is that because I have an old non-BP compliant theme. I couldn’t install a compliant theme because I can’t install BP-default. I’m caught in a loop here. Thx
Dont try to install a theme for BP, install buddypress and activate it, during activation, it will ask of you want to install BP theme, say yes and you are all set.
