BuddyPress custom field import limitations

    Tool lists all BuddyPress fields as available for import but actually does not import.
    For example does not import commonly used field MemberType also does not support additional fields types provided by tools such as BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Fields Type.
    This failure is silent: the import is reported as successful, although these fields are imported neither as BuddyPress fields nor as Extra profile information.

    Does import plain text fields ok.

    Hi, just got more detailed result:

    field type: Drop Down Select
    – imports ok if Value is previously defined
    – fails with no error reported if Value is not previously defined

    field type: Member Type
    – field header must be one word membertype

    Real issue is lack of error reporting on field values

    I am not a BuddyPress user so I did it for a client develop and we don’t take care of all the things you told me.

    If you want to support the develop, we can take care of it and improve everything you tell me here.
