Buddypress : Comment and reply boxes issue

    Hello OceanWP theme developpers,

    Since the version 3.3.3, I am having some issues with comment and reply boxes in buddypress. When one clicks to comment or to reply to a note the boxes do not open. For comments, the cursor jumps to the top of the activity stream (near the what news form) and for the reply it seems to jump to the bottom.

    Please share the page URL for checking the issue.

    In addition, Would you be so kind and go to Dashboard > OceanWP > OceanWP Panel > System Info and share the report with us so that we can take a look?

    Hello,

    Thank you so much for providing the details.

    I’ll also request you to remove the login access, it’s against the forum guideline.

    Please switch to the parent theme and check if it is working well or facing the same issue.

    If you getting the same issue with the parent theme, please follow the troubleshooting steps and let me the results:

    1- Head over to WP Dashboard > Plugin.
    2- Deactivate all plugins.
    3- Then, first activate the buddypress, check your issue.
    4- Activate the Ocean Extra plugin, Check your issue.
    5- Then, activate your plugins one by one
    6- After activation of any plugins, check your issue

    Note: if you have a cache plugin or server cache. You need to clear its cache contents or disable them.

    Hello Abhishek,

    Thank you very much.

    I tried all you suggested me to do but the issue is still there.

    I will in the meantime, rollback to the version 3.3.2 (there is no issue with this one ) because of the users. They may like to comment and reply to the notes.

    For the login Access informations, I am not able to remove them.

    Hello,

    That is really odd, because no other user reported this issue.

    I’ll try to replicate the issue locally.

    I’ll request to create a staging site, enable the debug log, replicate the issue and share the debug log. From the log we can get some clue.

    Very sorry for the delay on response.

    Now tried on your page and seems working well.

    Tried on local but unbale to replicate issue. Everything is working well here.

    I would request you to please check with the buddypress team also.

    Also try to clear the server level cache and check.

    Thank you very much for your reply.
    My page is working because I am now using the old version of oceanWP theme (the version 3.3.2).

    In your local installation, try to refresh the page before seeing the issue : after publishing a note, reflesh the page and try commenting it.

    I tried clear the server cache by did not solve the issue.

    Thanks you for replying.

    As I mentioned before, the issue is about comment et reply buddypress boxes.From OceanWP version 3.3.3, when one clicks to comment or to reply to a note the boxes do not open. For exemple when commenting, the cursor jumps at the top of the page.

    We have two websites using OceanWP theme and Buddypress plugin and have both the same issues. Even trying disable all other plugins. It is the same thing at local website.

    For avoid impacting the user experience, we have rolled back to the version 3.3.2

    We have updated to the last version of OceanWP for our another website that have less trafics. Here is the URL https://mathfev.com/, you can try it. Normally you need a user login information to try commenting et replying. Can we send you one through this forum ?

    Sometimes, when updating to the last version of OceanWP, it lasts 1 or 2 days before the issue starts again.
