    Hello,

We have a BuddyBoss plugin on our WordPress site and I am not exactly sure how to configure the Anti-Spam correctly. I understand that sending user messages (inbox), posting comments on Feed, or posting new messages in Forums are all under the “Custom contact Forms” setting, right?

So far I disabled “Protect Logged-in Users” because got some false positive but I would like to know if there would be an alternative to protect only a group of users.

I see the option for “trusted users” after 3 comments. Is there a way to set a specific as trusted user manually?

    Here is my use case:

I got a community with trusted user (would be complicated to add and maintain manually in the whitelist online) and some “public” users. I would like the trusted user to be able to communicate freely and continue to enforce spam check with the others.

How should I configure the plugin?

    Hello, @torpi.

By default the BuddyBoss plugin should be protected without the option “Custom contact Forms”. So you can set it to “Off”.

And no, a user becomes a trusted one after posting 3 good comments, there is no manual option of changing it.

    Do the following please:
    1. Go to WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Advanced settings —>
    2. —> set the option “Don’t check trusted user’s comments” to “On” —>
    3. —> set the option “Protect logged in Users” to “Off” —> Save Changes.

    It should fit your case.

    Thank you.

Just to confirm, “set the option “Protect logged in Users” to “Off” would apply to any registered user, right? So even if it’s the first comment it will bypass the spam check for anyone registered?

    Yes, you are correct.
Only the initial registration will be checked for spam and the consequent posts of the registered users will be ignored by the anti-spam.

Description of each options could be found here if you need it:
