• With buddypress component pages (activity, groups, members, etc) I cannot edit the displayed sidebar.
In theme layout, all pages have a primary sidebar but I need to disable this for the buddypress pages as they look corrupted.
All other pages I can modify the sidebar with Page Options but doing so in component pages makes no difference.
If links are allowed, here is a image of what it looks like.

  • Hi Wimtou. In Theme Options > Layout, you can disable sidebars for all pages (Global Layout) or specific theme page templates, or you can disable sidebars on individual pages in the Page Options > Layout section. I don’t know how buddypress templates work so don’t know if those options have any affect on buddypress pages. If you search wp.org for “hueman+buddypress” you’ll find there are several threads discussing compatibility issues between the theme and the plugin. The theme author has participated on several of these threads in an attempt to resolve the issues but many of them appear to be still outstanding.

Thanks for the link, I had searched this specific forum and nothing had come up. Despite setting the page option to no side-bar, it contains to act as though it has one in a very unusual way (image demonstrating that). So page options and layout have no effect on buddypress affected pages (despite working fine on other pages?)
Going through them it appears the author wasn’t able to fix it either but it’s good to know it’s been identified

The alternative would be to disable all for pages and manually do each page as they’re created. Not ideal but it works
