  • Hi. I am a newbie to everything revolving around web/web design. The last time I was proficient with any type of programming…lets just say that the C64 was state of the art back then!

I have installed the facebuddy theme, and i like it (although i do wish there were more available themes) but i dont want to mimic facebook as far as the colors go. I have been using firebug to try to locate the code that controls the colors, but cannot. I have also looked in the images folder, and while i have been able to locate a few of the blue facebook backgrounds, i cannot find the image that goes around the log-im/search bar at the top. Basically, I would like to change the colors to more of a hunter green at the top, and different shades of green on the others.

While i would love to be able to figure this out on my own, i don’t think i can. If anyone can offer help, It would be greatly appreciated. I would also be willing to pay someone to do it if it will be too difficult for a newbie.

the site is at my email is

Thank you in advance for any help/advise that you guys come up with.

  • Have you tried the style.css file, in most themes it controls the colors

i have tried it. i have it open, and using firebug i have found what i think is the color i want to change, it just doesnt seem to change when i save it and upload it. its very frustrating. On the flip side, ask me ANYTHING about plumbing and heating, and im your guy! 🙂

I think you got it it looks green now, if you are not seeing it you might have your css cached try Ctrl+F5 to do a hard refresh.

Wow I’m like the opposite, I know wordpress but not why my 15-year old Electric Hot Water pump furnace is not heating like it used to.
