# Brute force testing does not work

 * Hello, these days I have done some tests to block myself for 2 minutes and there
   is no way, they are tests to see if the brute force system works and in no case
   does it block me, or from another computer, I have tried 5 new installations 
   and does not block, already 1 month ago I tried with another new installation
   and it did not work either.
    If there is a way to block myself, what should I
   disable? I do not put my ip on a white list or register it in any other section.
   Thank you.

 * (Note the iTSec plugin will automatically add the IP of anyone logging in as 
   an administrator to the authorized list (previously whitelist).
    Unfortunately
   the plugin does not include a side widget that shows which IPs are currently 
   in the authorized list. You can use phpMyAdmin and check the IPs stored in the
   wp_options table for option **itsec_temp_whitelist_ip**.)
 * You should also distinguish between a lockout (temporary) and a ban (permanent).
