    Hi,

I have recently installed this plugin onto 6 of my websites and all was going very well until I tried to login yesterday. After trying through the new login username and password and on the new admin page after answering the honey pot question correctly (several times) It just kept clearing the data from the fields and put me back to the start again. It was allowing me access fine before. A quick response would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Armando.

Hi Armando, what is the difference between when it was working and now that it is not working?

    Hi

Nothing really. I reset my router but look to have a similar IP.
I deleted a load of pictures that had been uploaded and not by me and thats it?

Hi did you by any chance enable the Whitelist option?

If you whitelisted the IP address and your new settings has a different IP address that will lock you out.

I am asking the above because of your comment.

Sure, yes I did enable the whitelist option.

Hi, if you did enable the Whitelist option then most probably your new IP address is different to the one you added to the feature.

You will have to FTP into the server and check your .htaccess file and remove the IP address feature from the file. If that does not work remove everything found withing the following.

    # BEGIN All In One WP Security
    # END All In One WP Security

You will then have to enable all the security features you had.

Let me know how you go.

    Hi yes your right.

I checked the .htaccess file and the old IP was in there so I updated it and tested and it all worked fine.

    Thanks!

I found one in there that should have been?

Sorry I meant to say that found an IP address in there that wasn’t mine. It shouldn’t have been in there? Also, Im getting emails about jpegs being uploaded onto the account that I am not uploading and I have no idea who or why this is happening?

I know that my site was hacked recently?

Hi armandoc you will have to get in contact with your Host because it looks to me that your site is not clean yet from hackers. My theory is based on your comment.

Also, Im getting emails about jpegs being uploaded onto the account that I am not uploading and I have no idea who or why this is happening?

In regards to your original problem, your question is now answered. Can you mark this support thread as resolved.

You can open up a new support ticket if you have more problems with the plugin after your host removes the hacked entries from your site.

    Kind regards
