[Resolved] Brute Force attack IP

  • I have been getting this message in the last 5 hours. 80 emails with 950 attempts in each message. That is almost 80,000 login attempts.

They’ve been trying the admin username (which is the first thing I delete on a WP install). I am more concerned about their attempts. Is there a Triary level of security that could be put on – such as CAPTCHA after so many tries?

I am also confused about that IP address. Can you have a 3 set IP? Is there an error with it?

    Please advise.

There have been at least 950 failed attempts to log in during the past 180 minutes that used one or more of the following components:

Component Count Value from Current Attempt
    ———————— —– ——————————–
    Network IP 938 37.200.68
    Username 950 admin
    Password MD5 1
