    Hi again,

    I’m reaching out in front of my client who’s trying to test out Vipps payment option on staging website. She is getting an error “Bruker Ikke registrert hos Vipps”. She is confident she is a registered Vipps user.

    Any ideas what she’s doing wrong? Is there a specific telephone number format she needs to apply?

    This is a testing environment and Vipps is also in testing mode.

    We have different profiles in test, not the same as in production. That is why she is getting this error. We can send you an invite to hockeyapp and a test profile if you want to do testing – otherwise I have activated your clients production account now and she should receive credentials for logging in there shortly. If there is an issue with that we can handle it directly at integration@vipps.no

    Ah, I understand. No need for test profiles, we received emails with details to accessing production account and will test it out shortly.

    In addition to the test account, you would also need to install a test version of the vipps app on your phone.

    The test environment is mostly useful for development of the actual plugin.

    For testing of an installation we recommend that you set it up against the production environment, and create a one-krone test product.
