[Resolved] Browser tries to download install.php file

  • I have today installed WordPress 2.8.5, but each time I try to run http://mydomain.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php it tries to download the file as ‘application/x-httpd-php’ instead of executing the PHP.

I know it’s not my server, as I have 2 other domains running WordPress 2.8.5, and it doesn’t happen with them.

The domain I’m installing WordPress onto is new, but all DNS updates have been completed, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to access the home page.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    TIA

  • Resolved !!

Found that the new domain didn’t have shell access !!

Permitted it, and hey-presto, it all worked OK !!
