    Hey,

first of all I must say that this plugin is really cool.

But I’m facing a problem. I prefer using the drag&drop editor because of the awesome feature to insert recent posts – When adding a block with many recent blog posts from a category, my browser (all of them, I’m using a pretty fast computer; other tabs work properly) or the plugin (?) is getting stuck.

Sometimes it’s just “freezing” (movable mouse pointer and everything but nothing is clickable), and sometimes everything disappears and just the rotating “loading” symbol can be seen (and it won’t return to the editor).

What can I do to solve this issue? PHP memory limit is 256M and it’s never used more than halfway.

    Regards
    Chris

If you see the gear in the editor never replaced by the content it means there is an error while generating the block (in your server).

Check the server error log if something is reported.

    Stefano.

Nothing reported. 🙁 But as I said, “sometimes” it won’t return. Hm.

Sometimes… it could mean it’s a timeout problem. Which is the max php execution time? (even if to extract few posts hit the timeout sounds very strange to me)

I am on my way to work right now, but I think it is 60 or even 120 seconds. I’ll check when I’m back home. Thanks for everything.

It was set to 120 seconds. I increased it to 300 now and will let you know further details as soon as I continue working on the newsletter. 🙂

Oh, and out of curiosity, I tried it with the new exec limit. Seems to work like a charm now. Thanks! Never would’ve thought that this was the problem.
