    My website works fine in Chrome and Firefox but in IE11 the head table where the only two navigation links are doesn’t display correctly. What can I do?

    IE may require a separate CSS in order to display properly. Most themes come with the necessary CSS additions for the various IE differences.

    Why don’t you post your question at the support forum for your specific theme?

    I gave up on the table and I’m using divs instead. It works fine now!

    Good news, thank you for posting your results. Divs are the more accepted approach. I’m glad you got it working.
