# Browser Caching

 * Hi,
 * I’m trying to increase my website page speed performance ([https://shoptopi.co/](https://shoptopi.co/)).
   Every time I run a test using Hummingbird I receive a response saying that there
   are 4 of your browser cache types don’t meet the recommended expiry period of
   1 year.
 * When i check expiry time i can see it’s set to one year.
 * How can i fix this issue?

 * Thank you for contacting us.
 * Please try doing the following:
 * 1. Make sure you clear any site cache in case you have it setup with your hosting
   provider
    2. Clear page cache and asset optimization cache(if enabled) 3. Go 
   to Hummingbird > Caching > Browser caching and click on the “re-check status”
   button.

 * Thanks for confirming.
 * Could you please try to reinstall the plugin? Make sure to run a backup before
   you do this in case it’s needed.

 * I deleted the plugin and re-installed it but I still have the same issue.
 * If I want to place the code manually, where should I add it in htdocs?

 * Sorry for the delay here.
 * I made a Gtmetrix test on your website, and I don’t see any warning about expiration
   time for local assets, so it indicates the rules were applied.
 * In case the plugin persists showing it is not, do you have any object cache on
   your server?
 * If so, can you try to flush and recheck the status?
