[Resolved] Brown Paper Tickets API plugin not working

  • I have the Brown Paper Tickets API installed and am testing it on a page, but it’s blank.

One problem is I can’t be sure where to get the API number. The Brown Paper Tickets site doesn’t say, “this is your API” anywhere, and the plugin instructions don’t make it clear. Is it the number in the url when you log in?

That’s what I’m trying, but when I have the shortcode on the page, nothing shows.

The test page is at http://www.humortimes.com/5993/bpt-test/

I’m using the shortcodes [bpt] and [bpt event_id=”number”] (with the event number) to test both.

    Please help!

  • Ok, got it working.

For others, two things that are not made clear in the plugin description and instructions, which made the difference, are:

    1) The “BPT API ID” you need is the “Developer ID” found on the Developer tab at your Brown Paper Tickets profile. If you don’t have the Developer tab, follow the instructions at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/faq.html#s8

    2) The “BPT Client Name” was, at least in our case, the email address used to login at Brown Paper Tickets.
