  • I’ve spent half a day trying to get the Sitemap functionality to work. It simply doesn’t. It took hours to force the sitemap index to work (found a rule buried in the bottom of the FAQ). Once that was done I realized that nearly 1/3rd of my posts were missing from the post-sitemap.xml.

    Searching the support forum and Google finds numerous posts/pleas for help on these topics, all with the author conspicuously absent and the poster’s issue apparently unresolved after months.

    Dude you seriously have to lighten up and check in with reality 🙂 So you spend hours before reading the FAQ, which isn’t even that long? And now you’re blaming the plugin? That’s funny.

    I’ve had a poor experience with your plugin. I submitted a review objectively stating the specifics of my experiences and problems. I didn’t submit a review out of anger, or any personal attack against you (I don’t know you); I simply stated facts.

    The extent of my disappointment and poor experience with this plugin was limited solely to the plugin. In no way did I think this was indicative of your skill as a developer. As a developer, I know how hard (impossible) it can be to write bug free code, much less keep documentation clear and current.

    Your mildly-rude dismissive response is quite uncalled for and reflects poorly on your character. For a year now I have referred clients, friends, and my employers to your site and recommended your SEO review highly. I won’t be doing this anymore. You may shrug this off, and likely will not see any change in your bottom-line. That’s fine with me, I’m still not intending to be antagonistic or harmful to you. I simply want you to know that you’ve disappointed and lost a customer.

    This is a scenario in which it would have been simpler and better to simply remain silent.

    I’ve used WordPress SEO for several months now, and the sitemap has never caused me a lick of trouble. I consider it one of the important features of the plug-in because other site-map-only plug-ins have caused me so much grief in the past.
