Support » Fixing WordPress » broken website css not linking

  • Hi – any help here would be greatly appreciated.

At some point a wordpress update has broken this website interiorexteriorbuilders(dot)com(dot)au
It looks like the css has be unlinked because all of the data appears with no style, however when restoring old backups the wordpress is auto updating and breaking it straight away again?

An extra weird thing is that… I have cleared the cache on Google Chrome on my computer multiple times and still it looks like the site is working properly but on every other platform it is not?

    Please help??

  • I get this error in the Safari console:

Did not parse stylesheet at ‘http://interiorexteriorbuilders.com.au/wp-content/plugins/bwp-minify/min/?f=wp-content/plugins/LayerSlider/static/css/layerslider.css,wp-content/themes/bridge/style.css,wp-content/themes/bridge/css/font-awesome/css/font-awesome.min.css,wp-content/themes/bridge/css/stylesheet.min.css,wp-content/themes/bridge/css/webkit_stylesheet.css,wp-content/themes/bridge/css/safari_stylesheet.css,wp-content/themes/bridge/css/style_dynamic.css,wp-content/themes/bridge/css/responsive.min.css,wp-content/themes/bridge/css/style_dynamic_responsive.css,wp-content/themes/bridge/css/vertical_responsive.css&9b1ce4’ because non CSS MIME types are not allowed in strict mode.

So I’m wondering if it’s something to do with the bwp-minify plugin. Does it make any difference if you disable that plugin?

Thank you so much for your reply. I have deactivated that plug in but still have the same error? Do you have any other suggestions for me to try?

woah – just wait a second… I few hard refreshes and the site is working again!!! Thank you sooo much 🙂

It actually looks fixed for me now! If you hold shift and click refresh in your browser is it better for you too?

Oh sweet, glad it’s working again. Nice looking site!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
